Affirmation of God: I delight in Your delights O LORD.

Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 65:12 ESV; I will destine you to the sword, and all of you shall bow down to the slaughter, because, when I called, you did not answer; when I spoke, you did not listen, but you did what was evil in my eyes and chose what I did not delight in." God’s Word and His Spirit share His delights. When His delights are our ... Continue Reading »

Affirmation of God: I arise and call out to the LORD.

Today’s Scripture: Jonah 1:6 ESV; So the captain came and said to him, “What do you mean, you sleeper? Arise, call out to your god! Perhaps the god will give a thought to us that we may not perish.” Do you need a wake up call? How could Jonah be asleep during such a storm as this? How can we? Affirmation of God: Lord, increase my faith.

Do we really grasp what being filled with the fullness of God is all ... Continue Reading »

Affirmation of God: In God I trust.

Today’s Scripture: Psalm 143:8 ESV; Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. In coming to know God and who He is I come to trust Him. As we mature in faith we learn how little we can trust ourselves but how abundantly we can trust God. I heard God’s ... Continue Reading »

Affirmation of God: I find life in Jesus.

Today’s Scripture: Matthew 10:39 ESV: Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Have we ever lost our life for Jesus’ sake? Forget lost for a second, have we ever even “inconvenienced” our life for Jesus? As we look at Jesus’ instructions here to this young group of disciples can we apply these ... Continue Reading »

Affirmation of God: I thank and praise you, God.

Today’s Scripture: Daniel 2:23 NLT Tyndale: I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors, for you have given me wisdom and strength. When do you thank God? Do you wait until everything has come out as you planned? Daniel stepped out in faith. He requested an appointment with the king to interpret his dream BEFORE he had even asked God to reveal to ...
