Share the post "I am exalting You, my God and King, and praising Your name forever and ever."
Today’s Scripture: Psalm 145:1, NLT- “I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever.”
King David’s words can be our words. We can repeat the words of the Bible over and over. On this morning my first affirmation from God’s Word was found in Psalm 145:21, the last verse of Psalm 145. I captured “My mouth is praising the LORD” from the NIV translation which states, “My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.” We can praise God’s name forever by living out who He created us to be.
As I was reading backwards from the twenty-first verse of Psalm 145, I was overwhelmed by the goodness of God. This affirmatic way of reading scripture that God has given me brings out praises and love for Him more and more. Psalm 145:20, NIV is “The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.” At first, I captured the affirmation “Thank You LORD for watching over me.”
Then my spirit noticed who the verse says He watches over, “all who love him.” Then I felt compelled to say, “I love You LORD.” Continuing to read backwards Psalm 145:19 states “He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.” Can we grasp that our desires are being fulfilled as we thank the LORD for hearing our cries and saving us? Can you say, “I fear You LORD”?
Psalm 145:18, NIV states “The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” Thank You, LORD, for being near when we call on you! We can affirm “I am calling on the LORD in truth.” Google AI says that “calling on God in truth in Psalm 145:18 means approaching Him with total honesty, humility, and a sincere heart. It means praying without pretense, masks, or empty religious rituals, and genuinely seeking God for who He truly is rather than treating Him like a wish-granting tool.”
David had God and not AI while writing Psalm145:11, yet he reminded us that we all can open our mouths and testify of how we have seen God’s kingdom and experienced His power! Because as Psalm 145:9 states, “The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation.” (NLT)
As we tell our stories of how God has been so good to us, we are fulfilling Psalm 145:4 by passing our praises on to the generations to come. Psalm 145:3 proves that we can experience what David did as he scripted this Psalm. “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.” (KJV)
There are simply no words to describe the greatness of God which is unsearchable even with the arrival of AI. There is no end to His greatness or the power of His Word. As Psalm 145:2 encourages us, let us praise our God every day and praise His name forever and ever.
King David shared his praises with us so we to can exalt our God and King and praise His name forever. Will we?
Today’s Prayer: Almighty God, we are praising You now. Thank You for Your goodness to us. Fill our lives and mouths with praises for all generations. We thank You LORD for those who sang Your praises for us, and we are praying to be faithful in extoling You day after day so all others may know the truth of Your love. Amen.

Wonderful affirmation today. Really moved my spirit to worship Him.
