Today’s Scripture: For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6 ESV
I am so thankful God has shone His light into my darkness. The darkness of the human condition can be very dark but unbelievably bright when we welcome the light of God.
Our darkness magnifies God’s light when it is shone there and it is our gift to this world when it shines back out of us. I have experienced God’s light and my passion and purpose is for all others to let God’s light shine out of their darkness as well.
Paul explains to us that this is a Spiritual thing. God’s Spirit shines in us and can shine out of us for the purpose of sharing God, His hope and life with all others.
Will you let the light of God shine into your darkness so it will shine back out for others needing hope and life?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your light that has shone into my darkness. Thank You for loving me and giving me Your Spirit. Please shine brightly out of me dear LORD. May others see You in my light and may their hearts be changed and turned into light as well. May Your light and knowledge be seen in the face of Jesus Christ through me. Amen
