Thank You, LORD, for making our steps secure.

Today’s Scripture: Psalm 40:2, ESV- “He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.” Sometimes we do not know which way to go. We find ourselves at a crossroads. I read Jeremiah 6:16 this morning that states “This is what the LORD says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask ... Continue Reading »

God knows we are where we are for such a time as this.

God knows we are where we are for such a time as this. Today’s Scripture: Esther 4:14, NKJV- “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Do you seek meaning in your dreams and in your life? Today the dream that accompanied my snooze button was one of being covered by layers. Here in Ephesians 6 I read about the covering we have been ... Continue Reading »

I am directed by prayer

Today’s Scripture: Mark 1:38 ISV: "Let's go to the neighboring town," he replied, "so I can preach there, too, because that's why I came." What are the purposes of your prayers? Do you hope to direct God in someway to do what you desire or do you go to be directed by God? Jesus showed us the way to find direction and purpose. In Mark 1:35 Very ... Continue Reading »

I am gathering God’s promises

Today’s Scripture: Luke 11:23 ESV:  Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. Are you gathering up what you need? I did not want to come back to Luke 11 this morning. However, the LORD sent me here so I read knowing the Spirit would help me dig deep. In prayer God reminded me of those who went into ... Affirmation of God: I delight in the fear of the LORD.

Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 11:3 NASB: And He will delight in the fear of the LORD, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make a decision by what His ears hear; Fear of the LORD is most often defined by loving awe, reverence, deep respect, obedience, and recognition of who God truly is. Isaiah 11 is foretelling of Jesus and His ... Continue Reading »
