Today’s Scripture: But He said to them, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.” Mark 1:38 NKJ
This was my seventh blog almost five years ago and I am still drawn to Mark 1:35-38 as the life I want to live today.
Like Jesus, I go while it is still dark to pray with my Father. I want to then go and do the purpose for which I have come. It has been in this solitude with God that His purpose becomes clearer to me. In this solitude and darkness God continues to shape me and draw me into His purpose.
I love meeting with my Father each morning and have grown to trust His Spirit and His Word for guidance. I must be careful to DO my purpose today. Five years and a life time go by in a hurry and I pray I do not allow another day to slip by without doing my purpose.
When do you pray and what is your purpose?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ and for His example. LORD, I thank You that I too can come and pray as Jesus did. LORD, please grant me the confidence to know the purpose I am to go and do today. LORD, I praise You and ask You to honor our prayers and to guide and direct us. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life
I try to pray three times a day. These times are not necessarily long but they effectively call me back to my center.
Thank you Joseph for sharing your testimony. Having scheduled times to bring us back into His purposes is a great plan to not allow the day to consume us. Blessings as you pray!
His bleesing follows as long as I am faithful to press into the times of prayer.
Amen Joseph! So simple yet the ways of man make it so difficult. Praying we continue to press into prayer. Blessings as you press.
🙂
Too often I do let the day consume me. Then I cannot be consumed by Christ.
oooohhh, I love that Joseph, thank you for sharing! If I let my day consume me then I cannot be consumed by Christ. LOVE IT! Thank you! Blessings as you are consumed by Christ.
