Share the post "Affirmation of God: I am thankful I can ask and receive the LORD’S bread today."
Today’s Scripture: Give us each day our daily bread, Luke 11:3 ESV
It is a new day and a new year filled with the joy and peace of knowing we can each ask and receive the daily bread the LORD has for us.
Jesus came to show us the way. His disciples witnessed His way of praying and asked to be shown how. He instructed them and us to ask for our daily bread. I trust the LORD’s bread over what the world will feed me today and this year.
I am so thankful I do not have to know the bread but know the LORD who provides. I am thankful to know that Jesus promised us that if we ask we receive.
LORD, give us each our daily bread. I know I have Your bread and it is all I need. Help me to live on Your bread alone and live today with Your eternity in mind.
Have you asked for your daily bread?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, I praise Your name and ask for the bread You intend for me today. Show me the way You intend for me today. Forgive me for when I look to other things for sustenance. I am asking to only know and do Your will today. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life
Good Morning, and gre
Thanks, sorry we were cut off:) Blessings!
I think you hit on something important Tom. It is so much more important to know Him, the Bread of Life, than to know about Him or what He does. I think of that old hymn, “Break Thou the Bread of Life dear Lord to me…” (I have a rough time with that old King James English but still like the song).
Thanks Bill, all of our heart, soul and mind after Him and the bread appears doesn’t it?! The Bread of Life fills in any translation, huh?! Blessings and provision.
Thanks so much for sharing, Tom. It reminded me of Matthew 4:4 “But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
Thanks Heidi, yes every word is a promise that gives life! What wonderful truths that feed us! Blessings and life.
Love how you say you trust “the Lord’s bread over what the world will feed me today and this year.” This is so concise, powerful, and straight to the point. Thank you! Blessings on your new year–glad you’re back writing again.
Thank you Julie and I am thankful for your continued coaching and encouragement! We receive the fullness of life in what God gives. Blessings and reception.
So good to see you Tom–I was starting to fret more than pray. God bless you BIG–love, sis Caddo
Oh Sis, sorry to be gone so long. I missed you BIG. Just was worn out and then took as much time away in nature as I could…no internet out there in the woods:) Back to reality and thankful you are still here. I need to catch up with what you have been cooking up. BIG blessings!
I understand about being worn out–hope God filled you up BIG.
So thankful for your post today Tom, and to have you back! I was drawn to “show me the way You intend for me today”. I don’t want to miss Him today, in this moment, looking ahead and thinking that nothing is happening right now. God bless you as you bless others!
Well hello Deb, thank you for the welcome back. I pray you are warm and safe today as we are experiencing your kind of temps (kind of) here in Georgia. Your comment from yesterday describes my heart this morning…I don’t want to miss God for a moment. Not today nor any other day and His Holy Spirit will do this for us if we ask. So no if about it, I join you in asking the Holy Spirit to keep us in God, to dwell in Him moment to moment. In His name we do pray and live. Blessings in all of your moments. You and Sis keep my heart warm:)
