Today’s Scripture: The LORD will hold you in his hand for all to see–a splendid crown in the hand of God. Isaiah 62:3 NLT
I find it strange that there is so much comfort in something I can’t understand. Seriously, being held in the hand of the LORD? That is a big hand and yet somehow I believe it, I feel it and I know it. Just as Isaiah was speaking this to the people of Jerusalem the Word speaks this to us as well.
My soul rejoices in my God and just as stated in Isaiah 62:1 I will not keep silent. I cannot remain silent nor stop praying for God’s people.
I pray that I can share this thing I can not understand with those who need it. The warmth and strength of His hand the everlasting joy He has blessed us with. Forget understanding and just seek Him and if you haven’t experienced it yet, you will.
Have you experienced a comfort and joy you can not understand and need to share?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for holding me in Your hand. I praise You and rejoice in You. LORD help me to speak to whoever it is You desire. Use me LORD to love and speak with those seeking to know Your joy. Teach me the steps to joy that You desire for me to share. LORD, I am praying for Your people. Amen

Thanks Tom. I am with you. I do not understand why God would choose to hold such an unworthy vessel in His hand, and yet He does!

Hi Tom, Happy Monday!! Maybe I’m getting better at the “childlike faith”, as I don’t have nary a problem with this particular word. As soon as I started reading it, I recalled that when I was very young I heard the song, “He’s Got the Whole World In His Hand”, and loved it. I wasn’t brought up in a home where God was the focus; no grace, only the Law, and the law was Dad and Mom’s rules–woe to you if you strayed a half-inch from them. The kids were sent to Sunday school each week (Episcopalian church) but my parents made the Christmas-Easter services, only. So I grew up “rule-bound”, and in my early walk with God, my misery was all about still having the vision of Him as the god my parents exemplified. This is why living in Jesus’ Grace now is such a BIG deal to me, why my heart is generally happy skippy! God bless you BIG today, you and your family–love, sis Caddo

Thank you for sharing this Sis! So many of us are shaped by our perceptions of God by our parents and other influences. To come to a personal knowledge of His grace and love is beyond wonderful. A truly BIG deal to live with Jesus and in His grace. We find all these things in the hand of God don’t we? Let us all look to God and not to the frailty of mankind in a fallen world. BIG Blessings as you rest in God’s hand today!
