Today’s Scripture: “I am a God who is near. I am also a God who is far away,” declares the LORD. Jeremiah 23:23 GWT
God is in and above all things. Like these days of Jeremiah we must accept God’s truths over what man professes. During Jeremiah’s days there were also people trying to remove or redefine God. May we receive His Word and speak it faithfully and lovingly.
What a wonderful mystery to have the closeness of God while trusting in His omniscience and His omnipotence. God is intimately involved with all we think and do and yet He is God over all.
Although I can not comprehend the majesty of God I choose to trust Him and His Word over my limited sight and that of those who try to define God’s place. Although I am embarrassed that God is so near as to witness all of my thoughts and deeds I find peace in His love and power in knowing His truth will prevail.
Can you sense God’s nearness while trusting in His heavenly view?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for being near and far. Thank You for asking this question of us to remind us of where and who You are. LORD of Heaven who dwells in my heart I love You and trust You over myself and others. LORD direct me today both near and far to share Your Word faithfully. Amen.
