Today’s Scripture: who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:4 ESV
Why has the God of all comfort, comforted me in all of my afflictions? So I can give His comfort to others. In ALL of my afflictions God is my comfort and I stand on the hope I can share His comfort.
Like Paul in 2 Corinthians I want to share abundantly in the sufferings and the comfort of Jesus Christ. Why has God comforted me? To give His comfort away; not for me but for others needing comfort. Because of the comfort I have experienced my hope for others is unshakable.
At the end of our strength is where we find God and come to rely on His strength and His Spirit. God will continue to deliver us. You and I MUST comfort and encourage each other in prayer. We can give away our comfort knowing God is faithful.
Have you received comfort you can give to others?
Today’s Prayer: God of all comfort, thank You for the comfort You have given me. Use me to share Your comfort for those in need. I pray for those needing comfort and share my afflictions and my hope with them. You are God and You have given us Your Spirit and Your unshakable hope to give away. Help me and others to stand on our faith. Amen

Amen Betty! He gives us so much and what joy there is is giving what He has given. I enjoyed praying with you this morning in your call to prayer. These scriptures in 2 Corinthians reminded me this morning that we MUST pray for each other and I thank you for being faithful to provide these opportunities for us to pray for others. Blessings and prayers.

This very thing happened last night at our small group meeting, Tom. My husband shared about the power of forgiveness–a time he’d forgiven someone. Such a wonderful Scripture! Thanks.

Thank you for sharing Julie. God provides he opportunities to share what He Himself has done for us doesn’t he? So many times we look for our “calling” when we already have it through the experiences we have had. Our stories of redemption and forgiveness are exactly what someone needs to hear. God provides the opportunities and I pray we provide the stories that count us as His witnesses. Blessings and comfort.
