Today’s Scripture: 2 Corinthians 13:4 ESV –For he was crucified in weakness, but lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but in dealing with you we will live with him by the power of God.
Isn’t it wild that we can live by the power of God? As weak as we are on our own we are told in these verses that Jesus Christ is in us.
What?? Yes, by the power of God we are told that Jesus Christ is in us right NOW. We can live with Him by the power of God right this minute.
When we live by the power of God we fully live. When we live with Jesus we experience the fullness of power. In ourselves we do not have the power to do the next right thing. I don’t know why it is our nature to first attempt to live on our own power which is weak when we have the power of God within us.
Just as Paul encouraged the Corinthians, let us rejoice and aim for restoration. Let us comfort one another and live in peace so that the God of love and peace will be with you. I am challenging myself and you to test ourselves as Paul instructed so we may know God’s power..
Do you really believe God’s power is with you? Will you live by it?
Today’s Prayer: God, thank You for Your power and your Son Jesus Christ. I know You are with me. Help me to live in Your power. Help me to act boldly and courageously trusting in Your power. Forgive me for seeking the false promises of power this world has to offer. My life is in Your power and help me to faithfully live there. Thank you for the grace of Jesus, Your love and the fellowship with Your Spirit.
