I lift up my eyes to the LORD

Today’s Scripture: A Song of Ascents. To you I lift up my eyes, O you who are enthroned in the heavens! Psalm 123:1 ESV

 

As the light of the LORD welcomed the eyes of my spirit this morning I basked in His familiar glow. I wondered why I ever look away.

 

With eyes closed can you lift your eyes to the LORD? Can you see His light? What a wonderful comforting light. LORD, help me to live here in Your light. I lift up and give You my eyes O LORD. I look to You to be reminded of all the great and amazing things You have done.

 

My voice follows my eyes to You O LORD. I seek to recognize and consume Your daily bread. Please teach me to lift the eyes of my soul and help me know the patience and hope of Your Word. LORD thank You for Your light.

 

What do you see when you lift your eyes to the LORD?

 

Today’s Prayer: Our Father who art in Heaven, how great You are! LORD, I lift my eyes to You. Show me what You desire. Show me and speak to me the hope in Your Word. LORD, I thank You for Your light and I ask You to keep me there so I am constantly lifting my eyes to You. Amen
