Today’s Scripture: Matthew 11:29 ESV –Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
I LOVE harvesting affirmations from the Word of God. I LOVE learning from Jesus. I have been collecting affirmations for almost a decade and I learn new ones almost every time I go to the Word.
Are we teachable? Do we work hard to do things on our own strength until we just get too weighed down before we go to Jesus? He says if you will come to me I will give us rest. Why do we put that off?
I want to learn everything Jesus wants to reveal to me, don’t you? He gives us directions here in Matthew 11:29 that I want to affirm:
I take Jesus’ yoke upon me.
I learn from Jesus.
I am gentle and lowly in heart.
I find rest for my soul in Jesus.
I love how my spirit jumps for joy when I find these treasures and state them with my mouth as my very own. This joy revealed to me from Jesus is what I want to teach.
Do you really want to learn from Jesus? He is revealing His lessons for you.
Today’s Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for offering your yoke to us. Thank You for offering to teach us. I welcome Your teaching Lord Jesus. Please open up my spirit to learn from Your Holy Spirit to remind me of everything You desire to reveal to me. I do take Your yoke upon me. I do desire over all things to learn from You. I too desire to be gentle and lowly in heart as You showed us how to be. I do find rest for my soul in You Jesus. Help me to share this rest to those needing this revelation. Use me LORD. Amen
