Today’s Scripture: And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you question these things in your hearts? Mark 2:8 ESV
If we can stay out of our heads long enough and often enough to seek God with all of our hearts we will know His will.
In Mark 1:40, the leper knew in his heart that if it was God’s will Jesus could make him clean. I know Jesus has the authority to make me clean but I desire to know His will more than I desire to be clean.
Jesus came for the sick and sinful which means He came for me and you. We know in our hearts Jesus is our only hope. My hope is not in being well but knowing and doing His will.
Let us do the will of God we know in our hearts through the Holy Spirit so we are brothers and sisters of Christ as promised in Mark 3:35.
Does your heart seek to know God’s will?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, I know You can make me clean. My heart searches Your will O LORD. Forgive me for when my heart is hard. Soften me and fill me with Your Holy Spirit and may my heart be yours. I trust Your will and I ask You to continue to teach me to live from Your heart and Your will. Amen

I love this Tom. I was just pondering Ezekiel 36:25 today – where God promises he would give us a heart of flesh and give us His Spirit, and give us the will to walk in His ways. I join you in your prayer today.

Thank you Ben, what an honor and a privilege we have to be able to pray together in ONE Spirit to follow after His heart and His will! Blessings as you walk with Him!

Tom, I also join you and Ben in your prayer today. I want His will in my heart not mine.

Thanks Debby, what praises I lift up to know our pryers and hearts know no distance in the Holy Spirit of our God. Holy God, thank You for bringing us all together so we may join in prayer to glorify You, to worship and praise You and cry out one to another to seek Your will for our lives to live and be who You desire! Amen

Excellent post, Tom. “Staying out of our heads”–that’s quite the trick, isn’t it? But with God, ALL things are possible–so I’m giving HIM my busy head today. Thanks, and God bless you.

Oh yes sis…that IS the challenge. I am thankful I have come to know the difference but knowing it has brought the seeds of hope to strive to seek His Spirit without ceasing. The flesh switch is easily activated yet I pray to the Spirit to fill and draw us to our LORD more and more.
May He use us to share and to teach how He has guided each of us to pray without ceasing. BIG Blessings!

Great stuff to think about. I love your sentence, “If we can stay out of our heads long enough and often enough…” So true. Have never thought about it this way. Thank you. Again!
