Today’s Scripture: And to the centurion Jesus said, “Go; let it be done for you as you have believed.” And the servant was healed at that very moment. Matthew 8:13 ESV
Here in Matthew 8 we are provided the kind of belief we must have to go and do God’s will for us.
Before the centurion we read of the leper who approached Jesus. “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.” The strength of our belief should be based on His will and not the strength of our belief.
As the centurion, we can humble ourselves knowing we are not worthy yet be bold enough to ask Jesus for His will to help us with our desires. He confirms in us His will and we can believe it full of faith.
When our beliefs are in line with His will we can believe it will be done. As we boldly ask we can boldly believe. He makes known to us His will if we ask.
Do you believe what you desire is His will? Go; let it be done as you believe.
Today’s Prayer: LORD, if You will, You can make my dreams come true. I believe the dreams and desires You have given me are Your will. I am going in faith and believing that the dreams and desires You have given me will be done. Amen

This is so straight-forward. Wonderful post, Tom.
Thank you Julie! Blessings and belief!
Amen, Tom! Praying my dreams and desires are His will He desires for me!
Amen Debby, I join you in these prayers for His will to be made clear and that He helps us remove our fleshly desires and our doubts in the will He Himself has given us. May we go and do in faith! Blessings and faith.
I love that the key is not the strength of our belief, or how great our faith is, but the level/degree of our humility. If my faith is as small as a mustard seed, on a day when I’m particularly aware how undeserving I am of anything–HE still invites me to come boldly to His throne, offering my heart of humility. Why? Because I’m His child–and because He sees me through the righteousness of Christ, not the smallest droplet of my own. And I love that HE confirms His will in us–those are truly wonderful days here on earth. God bless you.
Faith / believing is the conditional “if” God puts into His word. Clearly the centurion showed that faith saying there is no reason why Jesus would have to come, just say the word. That is an extraordinary faith. Great story, one of my favorites.
