Today’s Scripture: Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Galatians 5:25 New Living Translation
The Spirit leads us to freedom. Freedom is found far from the flesh. The ways of man lead us back or keep us in slavery.
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. Galatians 5:16 NLT “LET” the Holy Spirit? Other translations state to live or walk in or of the Spirit. May we test our cravings.
It is easy to see whether we are choosing the Spirit or the flesh isn’t it? When we are following the Spirit we are producing the fruits of the Spirit. The fruits of the Spirit are listed in Galatians 5:22: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.
I also see the fruits I bear when I am NOT following the Spirit. LORD, help me follow Your Spirit.
Who or what will you choose to follow today?
Today’s Prayer: Abba Father, thank you for adopting me as your child and for sending Your Holy Spirit into my heart. Help me to walk and live in Your Spirit. I want to choose to walk in Your Spirit at all times and I need Your power to help me turn away from my sinful nature. In each decision help me to see what fruits I am producing. Let Your Spirit guide this life. Amen
