Today’s Scripture: For the LORD comforts Zion; he comforts all her waste places and makes her wilderness like Eden, her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the voice of song. Isaiah 51:3 ESV
Where are you looking for thanksgiving? The LORD calls His people to Himself and in Him we find comfort, joy and yes, thanksgiving. Here in Isaiah 51 the LORD is calling His people to Zion and He is calling us today.
Look no Further than the LORD. What a paradox to think the Creator, the One who stretched out the heavens is out their beyond our sight yet closer to us than the things of this earth that tempt to steal our thanksgivings.
If we look to the LORD we find thanksgiving. If we look for thanksgiving we find the things of earth and man that simply die. Our LORD is everlasting and so is His fountain of thanksgiving.
When we are bowed down to the LORD, as instructed in Isaiah 51:14, we are set free to find all the thanksgivings the LORD has to offer.

Today’s Prayer: You LORD are my God. I bow before You and thank You for freeing me to find Your thanksgivings. This is my song of thanksgiving to You LORD. You are my LORD and I thank You for providing all that I need. I thank You for covering me and protecting me with Your hand. Thank You for taking away from me my staggering and giving me Your words of comfort. Amen

Oh wowza, yes–I echo your prayer, Tom, “thank You for taking me from my staggering”. Today I’m once again staggered–but in a different way–amazed how far He’s brought me from the mire of destruction, and set my feet on solid “golden” ground. God bless you and your family BIG–love, sis Caddo
Sis, I absolutely LOVE praying with you! Such solid ground are His streets of Gold! We can walk solidly on them in the here and now, what a blessing! We truly find thanksgiving in HIM. Blessings and sweet aromas (sorry, smelling the oatmeal lemony scents:) I bet God smells them too as he knows they are baked in love!
