Today’s Scripture: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:21 NIV
Doing the will of God is the one thing that Jesus says we need to do to enter the kingdom of heaven, is there something more important on your plate today?
Earlier in this seventh chapter of Matthew we are told to ask and it will be given to us; to seek and we will find and to knock and it will be opened to us. So today, right now we can ask together. LORD, my Father in heaven I ask You to reveal Your will to me. LORD, teach me how to seek You fully. LORD I am knocking upon Your door and I trust You to open Your heavens, Your narrow way to me.
On that day, I want Jesus to know me. I am thankful to know He will as I trust You, my Father, to teach me and to help me to do Your will.
Do you want Jesus to know you?
Today’s Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven, how wonderful is Your name. I am asking to know Your kingdom and Your will today. Please give me what I need to know and do Your will. Forgive me when I put other things before doing Your will. LORD, I come for Jesus to know me. Amen
