Today’s Scripture: The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endures for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, said the LORD. Jeremiah 33:11 AKJV
When you enter into a conversation with God are your bringing your praise or a laundry list of needs or the guilt of other things you need to sacrifice?
The simplicity of Jeremiah 33 is comforting. I do not have to worry about what words I bring to the LORD. I don’t have to be consumed by the myriad of my character defects I carry to Him. I simply need to bring Him thanksgiving and praise.
Does God need anything I can bring? He desires my offering of thanksgivings and praise. When I offer Him my praise I find the prosperity and security of God.
As sure as the sunrise and sunset, the promises of the LORD will occur. In the meantime, we are called to bring Him our thanksgiving and praise.
Have you brought your sacrifice of praise to the LORD yet today? Bring it.
Today’s Prayer: Dear LORD, I offer you my sacrifice of praise. LORD I praise You with all my heart. You alone are LORD, You alone are the author and source of joy. Thank You for loving me and hearing me. I trust in Your promises and know You will provide great and hidden things I have not yet known. These things are revealed in praise. Amen.
