I am always reminded of God’s truths in His Word.

Today’s Scripture: 2 Peter 1:12, NKJV- “For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth.” Peter knew that we need the constant reminders of God’s Word. The sixty-six books that comprise our Bible were never intended to be just another book we have read. We ... Continue Reading »

I find forgiveness in the Lord and healing in confession.

Today’s Scriptures: James 5:15-16, NKJV- “And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. I was in recovery for ... Continue Reading »

I am living eternal life today.

Today’s Scripture: John 17:3, BSB- “Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.” Do you think of eternal life as what occurs after our physical deaths? Today’s Scripture: 1 Peter 1:2, NIV- “who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.” I must admit that I have watched way too many reels of political protests, so I have found ... I am living to please the Spirit.

Today’s Scripture: Galatians 6:8, NLT- “Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. Most translations of Galatians 6:8 state that we should sow to the Spirit, so we reap the everlasting life of ... Continue Reading »

I am thankful for the washing, regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit.

Today’s Scripture: Titus 3:5-6, NKJV- “not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,” We can chase after godliness through the Holy Spirit who is poured out on us ...
