Today’s Scripture: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 ESV
Life can be uncomfortable at times. There are seasons that make us catch a glimpse of the valley of the shadow of death. But when we know the LORD is with us, we fear no evil and we find comfort.
I returned to an almost four year old affirmation today and realized the most comfortable place I have experienced in my life is still my prayer closet. Seriously, I find comfort there more today than ever.
Alone with God I confirm that He is all that I fear. The awe and love for God experienced there reminds me that He has already set a table for me. I can trust His plan and find true comfort in Him. I realize He is all I want.
Like David here in Psalm 23:4 I want to dwell with the LORD all the days of my life.
Where are you most comfortable?
Today’s Prayer: Dear LORD, thank You for guiding me to You. Thank You for restoring me with Your green pastures and Your still waters. Thank You for being with me, for comforting me and for restoring my soul. I only fear You LORD and I seek to dwell with You all the days of my life. I trust that Your goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life
I meditated on Psalm 23 everyday for a year once. It was one of my darkest Times and through this verse I would remind myself that God hand’ t left me. With His rod he awarded off the leavening wolves and with His staff He kept me on the path I couldn’t see. My safe place is in worship.
Thank you Joseph, I am thankful He led you to worship! A friend just mentioned to me this week that he was meditating on the 23rd Psalm and the LORD’s prayer. I didn’t go looking for it this morning…Our LORD just took me there. I couldn’t believe it had been almost four years since I last wrote on it and yet the comfort I found then was experienced and renewed this morning without me knowing (HE DID) this is where I would be going today. May we be reminded to trust Him, His presence and His leading! Blessings and dwelling my friend!
Amen!
Much needed reminder this morning. Thank you, Tom.
Thank you Julie, our LORD is good, with us and comforting. Blessings as you dwell with Him today!
This is a blessing to my soul, Tom. Thank you.
Thank you Meg, and you have blessed me! Blessings and comfort!
I loved this affirmation and like you, it is that time alone with Him where I am comforted the most! Thanks and God bless you!
Thank you Deb! The only place I am truly comfortable. May we stay with Him and live in His comfort in all things and in all situations. Blessings and comfort!
Oh this is wonderful! It’s scary when we’re in that valley of the shadow–the Lord just rescued me again, and I’m dancing BIG Praise and Thanksgiving–Hallelujah to the Name Above all names, JESUS. God bless you, sis c. (I have a music post up, dedicated to my friends–your name’s on it!)
Well SIS, God knew I needed to stop by tonight. I am snowed under with work and have been absent a few days…and here YOU are. I am uplifted by your presence and often pray for your lifting from the valleys. So thankful you are dancing BIG. I will soon come over to your new site. I miss you BIG, REALLY. The LORD knows the comfort we need. Blessings and comfort!
What a wonderful comment, thanks. Isn’t it great that, for the most part, even if we’re out of contact for awhile, Jesus knows where we are–and brings us back together, whether for prayer or celebration. I had a feeling you were snowed under–never fear, I’m praying BIG to our even BIGGER super-hero JESUS. And, thank you, thank you for your prayers on my behalf!
Yes, Sis, Jesus knows where we are! Thank you for your prayers. May we remember where Jesus is. Blessings!
