Today’s Scripture: In the same way, you wives must accept the authority of your husbands, even those who refuse to accept the Good News. Your godly lives will speak to them better than any words. They will be won over by watching your pure, godly behavior. 1 Peter 3:1-2 NLT Tyndale
Our lives will speak better than any words. Do you ever wonder about what your life is saying? Do our lives speak joy in God or anxiety in life?
As I encourage others to follow after God’s heart and be who He created them to be, do I live it? 1 Peter is an awesome letter giving us direction on how we should live. This book is about doing things right, living right and desiring to serve God.
Do I just talk about using our gifts or do I courageously trust God with these gifts He has given me? Will I just speak as if God is speaking through me or will I live as if God is living through me?
What is your life speaking?
Today’s Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your word and the example of Jesus. Help me to live for You. Your timing is amazing and I know You are speaking. Thank You for the gifts You have given me. Help me to use them with all the strength and energy that You supply. Help me to live the Good News and belong to Christ. Help me to live in You so others will live in You. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life
I always wonder, sometimes fret, that my life isn’t reflecting what I believe very well. Now and again, I know I’ve done a good job–and that is encouraging. God always tells me that He just expects me to show up and do my best, and He’ll do the rest. Now THAT’S the God of Grace I’m talkin’ about!! Have a Super-Sized blessings day, Tom–love, sis Caddo
I can certainly relate Sis, isn’t great when we realize is is not our efforts but Him through us. Our hardest effort is to let go. Praying we can do this more and more and witness the life He intends. Blessings as He lives through you!
What I find interesting, Tom–is that when we do “well”, we’re usually quick to pass the praise on to Jesus; but when we mess up, we can take on condemnation too quickly. Not that it’s His fault when we miss the mark, not at all–but we’d get farther, I believe, if we’d recognize that the same Holy Spirit and Grace are within us all the time. Jesus’ love is unchangeable–He’s there with us when we “score”, and He’s still there to dust us off when we “fumble”. God bless you–“Preacher Caddo”
What a wonderful perspective preacher Sis:) Why do we ALL do that? I pray we feel the pain of our sins yet are drawn to His grace! May we live there!
Drawn to His grace–absolutely, that’s where I’m gonna live from now on.!
Drawn in to Him…love it. As He promised if we draw to Him, He draws to us. I am here LORD. Blessings and grace.
Wow, Tom, you couldn’t have known, but something happened recently where I didn’t ‘speak’ .. I stayed silent while being treated not so nice. It was easy to do , in the moment , with Him. But afterward I kept asking Him .. don’t I need to say something? 🙂 Thank you for confirming and affirming that there are times when Jesus in our lives will speak better than our words.
God bless you bunches!
All praise and glory is His. Thank you Debbie for confirming this message and His perfect timing. Thankful for His Holy Spirit that allows His voice to be heard in our silence. The mystery and the majesty of His Holy Spirit. Blessed are the meek. I am thankful for your visit and for hearing your voice:)
As former pastors in our community, we still have an impact on the people where we live and at times we see some who have strayed away. It pains us to see them ‘living in the world.’ It makes me think how our Father is pained by the lost lamb and takes time to go after them. We too, take our time to gently remind in love when we have the opportunity with the Holy Spirit’s guidance. But even as Christians, not pastors, we are an example for others to follow and must remember even a word spoken in haste or a reaction is viewed by the world. We must always be mindful of how others see us. This is why it is so important to allow the Holy Spirit to guide us in all our words and every aspect of our lives.
Amen Kimberly! Thank you for sharing a great example! I pray the LORD will show Himself so brightly they will not see me. I too pray we all the Holy Spirit to guide us!! Blessings!
