Today’s Scripture: The LORD is king! He is robed in majesty. Indeed, the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. Psalm 93:1 NLT
The world seems to be crumbling at the weight of evilness at times doesn’t it? Like the Psalmist in Psalms 93 and 94 we must remember that regardless of what we think, the LORD IS KING and HE REIGNS!
As long as we stand with the LORD, we will stand firm. Even when we feel we are slipping as stated in Psalm 94:18 the LORD’S steadfast love will hold us up. When it looks like the arrogance and the evil ones in our time “band together against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent to death” (Psalm 94:21 ESV); we must remember that the LORD is our stronghold.
He is the mighty rock where we stand firm and He will not forsake us. We will one day make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. (Psalm 95:1 ESV).
Will you stand firm in the LORD?
Today’s Prayer: Almighty LORD, You reign! You are my stronghold; You are the rock where I stand. Forgive me when I doubt You LORD and think the evilness in my time can rival You. You created all and will bring all back to You. Thank You for holding me up when I think I am slipping. Thank You for Your love. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life
Thank you for leading us in prayer and to the Rock that is higher than us and so steadfast! God bless you, Tom!
God bless you Deb and thank you! He is our rock in which we stand, and sometimes hide. He is always our Rock and blessings to you!
It is crazy, I guess it is out of my background of having attended a Baptist church all my life, and being married to a music minister, but your affirmations almost always put a song in my heart. Today the song is, “I’m Standing on the Solid Rock.” I am not sure if you know it so…
Through my disappointments – Strife and discontentment – I cast my every care upon the Lord – No matter what obsession – Pain or deep depression – I’m standing on the solid rock.
Now I’m pressing onward – Each step leads me homeward- I’m trusting in my Savior day by day
And close is our relation- Firm is its foundation- So on this solid rock I’ll stay.
Even though He’s gone now -I don’t feel alone now -With comfort came the Spirit of the Lord
Now with His word to guide me -From temptations hide me – I’m standing on the solid rock.
Chorus:
I’m standing on the solid rock of ages (standing on the rock, on the rock of ages)
Safe from all the storm that rages (safe from every storm, all the storm that rages)
Rich but not from Satan’s wages (rich in love, I’m rich, not from Satan’s wages)
I’m standing on the solid rock
And it is so good to know there are others among us that are also standing on this ROCK.
LOVE it Patsy!! Thank you soooo much for taking the time to put the lyrics on here. Heard it yes, but as a non-musical person I always remember like one line of a song (drives my family CRAZY!!)haha!! I am thankful for your singing and for you giving us the words to sing along!!….funny but when you come back you will kind of be amazed at what the following affirmation was…”singing a new song” I am sure that these affirmations bring a song to mind as the writers of these songs found these same lines in God’s word as I did…not new Words but we are living a NEW SONG!! Blessings and singing to you!!
Wow, this is chock full of power, Tom, and I benefited from Patsy’s song too. Note to self: next time I’m having a lying-in-the-dust week, go to Tom’s blog, if to no one else’s–although coming in and reading a week’s worth is kinda like a Vitamin B-12 shot. Being with God’s folks–even on the computer–can be a lifesaver. God bless you BIG–sis Cj
