Today’s Scripture: I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. Psalm 77:11 ESV
Sometimes we have to remind ourselves of what God has done, don’t we? When we come upon a seemingly hopeless situation we can remember the source of our hope.
Psalms 77-79 remind us to tell the next generation of what God has done for His people. God created a testimony in Jacob and He has also created a testimony in us. Let us tell the stories of what God has done! These stories remind us and others to set our hopes in God.
God is faithful and I find no better way to end this message than the words of old in Psalm 79:13: But we your people, the sheep of your pasture, will give thanks to you forever; from generation to generation we will recount your praise. (ESV)
Do you remember and tell others what the LORD has done?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, You are our God. We remember all that You have done. We continue to tell others of your wonders. I pray Father that You give hope to the hopeless through our stories and I pray we keep Your commands. Forgive me LORD when my flesh is weak; my hope in You is strong. Amen

My sermon Sunday is on Legacy- remembering the veterans and then remembering Jesus (through the Lords’ Supper). “Lest I forget…”

My cousin and I were talking today, about our failing memories–how annoying, and amusing, it can be. But one thing we never have difficulty recalling, is our Great God–all that He has done, and continues to do for us daily. We may briefly bemoan temporary ills, but our hearts fill to overflowing when we speak about our Lord. God bless you and your family, Tom–love, sis Caddo

Funny, Sis, I often say I have a horrible memory! However, I have found this to be a true blessing when coming to God’s Word daily. It is always fresh and new! Every day in reading His Word He helps me remember what the He has done! Fresh anew each day! May He write His words and His love on our hearts where no memory is required! Big blessings and memories!

Thank you so much for reminding us to keep telling those stories, to ourselves and others! The other day He had me thinking about how love never fails .. how HE had never failed me. As I thought about it, I remember hard times, painful times, but HE did not fail me during them! God bless you and yours and as pass down those stories too!

Amen Deb, thank you! The importance of God’s stories and our stories in Him can not be told enough. I pray we share our memories and our praises everywhere! Blessings and remembering!
