Today’s Scripture: Then I saw and considered it; I looked and received instruction. Proverbs 24:32 ESV
Do we spend more time looking for instruction than preparing our spirits to receive it? Umm, how many times does the LORD speak to us yet we are too busy looking to receive?
A few years back I vividly recall crying out to God one morning while on my knees, with hands held high, as to my bewilderment that He remained silent in my life. I had been searching, I had been listening, or though I thought.
It is easy to get lost in our thoughts isn’t it? I have learned that if I turn to God’s Word after prayer that He is faithful to instruct. God does speak if we have prepared our hearts to receive.
God’s instruction is received when we have given up on our faculties. Our minds, our efforts can sound out instruction that our souls are designed to receive.
Are you prepared to receive instruction?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, prepare my heart for instruction. Open my spirit to the teaching of Your Holy Spirit. I seek You and Your truth LORD. Please remove the obstacles of my flesh and my understanding. I trust that I will receive the instruction You desire for me and I pray to do Your will. Help me to look with the Spirit within me. Amen

Thank brother! I miss you too. Was thinking about you guys! Congrats on the new leg!! See you soon, I hope.
What an insight, that we often are looking for instruction instead of receiving it. Thank you, Tom, and God bless!
Thank you Deb! Blessings and receiving!
Many times like the lost child we have to stop running through the forest trying to find our own way. We have to stand still…be still and let the Lord come and find us. At least this has been my experience.
Amen Joseph, too busy running, too busy trying to “figure it out”. May we be still, seek with our spirits and receive His plans for us. My experience too! Blessings and receiving!
