Today’s Scripture: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Colossians 3:16 ESV
Paul reminds us in his letter to the Colossians that when we live in Christ we find thankfulness in our hearts to God.
When we thank God we find hope and love we can live in. We come to know His Spirit that fills us with love, wisdom and knowledge of God. We find strength in God’s power. He delivers us from darkness with patience and joy.
When we are thankful to God we come to experience the fullness of God that lives in us. We find the riches and treasures hidden in Christ. We become alive when we begin with thankfulness to God.
When we live in Christ we can put on our new self. In this new Christ given self we have thankfulness in our hearts to God. We are told to above all put on the love of Christ. Here in His love we find thankfulness
Do you have thankfulness in your heart?
Today’s Prayer: I have thankfulness in my heart to You God. Thank You for Your Spirit and for the life of Jesus who gives us life. Help me to live in Christ and to put away my old self and to live in the thankfulness of my new self found in Christ. Thank You for putting Your love and Your Spirit in me. Amen
