Today’s Scripture: And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ Matthew 7:24 ESV
If you could ask for anything, what would it be? Just fifteen verses earlier in Matthew 7:8 Jesus said EVERYONE who asks receives. EVERYONE includes you and me, right?
Jesus continues telling us God wants to give us good things. We just need to ask. If we seek we will find; if we knock it will be opened. Do we ask for things that are leading us through the narrow gate? Do we ask for things that allow us to build our lives on solid rock?
I first affirmed this morning “I ask to know Jesus” and I do. Yet, His knowing is super spiritually beyond my knowing and its limitations. Lord, Jesus, I am asking You to know me and for me to know You and Your way. Thank You for Your promise to give us Your way to life, if we ask.
What are you asking for?
Today’s Prayer: LORD Jesus, I ask You to know me. You know me better than I. I ask to know Your way. I ask You to teach me to seek what You desire. I ask You to show me where to knock. Lord, please know me and grant me the fullness of knowing You. In Your mighty name I pray. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life
What am I asking for? I echo the word of David, a man after God’s heart, “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.” When I spend time with the Lord…in and out of my prayer closet, on my own or with His people, in my thoughts and more, in my deeds…I get to know Him and His ways, and HE KNOWS ME! Thanks again for another affirmation in God’s Word in my inbox! Peace and blessings to you an yours Tom!
GREAT verse Cindy, one of my all time favorites too. This is what I seek! As we dwell with Him He dwells with us! Thank you for sharing and praying God’s blessings and gazing as you do His work of honoring your mother and father through your spiritual acts of worship!
God bless you, Tom, for leading us into another great time of seeking Him and asking to know Him more and knowing that He knows us! Thank you!
And God Bless you Deb! What a wonderful knowing it is! Knowing we can ask anything in His will and He will do it. Most critical for me is to ask that He knows me, I know Him and to know His will! I love the knowledge of God! Blessings and knowledge my friend!
