Today’s Scripture: saying, ‘Turn now, every one of you, from his evil way and evil deeds, and dwell upon the land that the LORD has given to you and your fathers from of old and forever. Jeremiah 25:5 ESV
For TWENTY THREE YEARS Jeremiah had been bringing the LORD’s messages to these people. How long have you been getting the message? I am old enough to realize there are some messages I have been getting from the LORD for OVER twenty three years and the time to act is now.
I am turning. Has God been sending you messengers? Have you heard a persistent message for a while? Have we trusted in our idols and the works of our hands? You can read the remaining verses of Jeremiah 25 and see the total devastation that is going to ensue. Have you already witnessed some of the destruction?
You have heard the message haven’t you? We already know what we must turn away from and to. Let’s turn and live before it is too late.
Are you listening to God’s persistent messengers? Turn now and live.
Today’s Prayer: LORD, I am embarrassed and ask Your forgiveness for turning away from Your messages to me for so very long. LORD give me the faith, courage, and clarity to turn now and act on what You have given to me. I am turning to You now to act upon Your message. In YOU alone I trust. Amen.
