Today’s Scripture: Ezra 1:5 NLT Tyndale: Then God stirred the hearts of the priests and Levites and the leaders of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple of the LORD.
Ezra makes it clear that it is the LORD who stirs our hearts. Here he stirs the hearts of the leaders of his day and those called to build the temple.
Do you believe God is still in the heart stirring business? I do. Reading through several translations of Ezra 1:5 I concur that God stirs us, moves us, inspires us and raises our spirit. What has Yahweh stirred in your spirit?
Have you been inspired to join with others for a common purpose? Have you been moved for something specific?
God will also stir those around you to assist in your journey. We are to praise the LORD with thanksgiving knowing He is good and His faithful love for us will endure forever!
Pray our leaders seek the stirring of God and trust in God’s helpers. How is God stirring your heart?
Today’s Prayer: LORD, thank You for stirring my heart. Please continue to move my heart where You want it. Inspire me to go where You want me and to help others go where You are sending them. I pray for today’s leader’s to seek You and Your heart so they may be stirred to do Your will. I praise You with thanksgiving and proclaim that You are good and Your faithful love endures forever! Amen

What has Yahweh stirred in my Spirit? Revival. Holy Spirit placed the desire to see a revival in me many years ago…just a few months after I was born again, but just recently the burden to really PRAY for and begin to do something…even if it is small –has been stirred up in me.
Have I been moved to something specific? YES! I found a great website: http://www.onecry.com Not only do they provide prayer guides: http://www.onecry.com/media/filer/2012/02/23/praying-for-awakening.pdf which have been transforming for ME (REVIVAL STARTS WITH ME!) but there, I am joining with others who, like me, feel this burning fire for revival in myself, my church, my community, my country and my world. (Wasn’t that your next question???????) So AWESOME to be united in prayer and ACTION for an awakening! I am also filling my playlist with songs about revival: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_TOOXRpn8w and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pslWA2VRmxg Finally, I am reading a book by Charles Finney called “How to Experience Revival” and MAN it has me STIRRED up! I went to Big Frog and had some tee-shirts printed up with God’s Word on them…Old Testament on the front and New Testament on the back…just to get God’s message out there. AND I am trying, brother…I am trying to LIVE the Good News. Revival starts with me and I praise Yahweh in the name of Yeshua for Holy Spirit moving and doing a work! Mind? Cindy, I need your gift of music here. You assist the Holy Spirit is adding inspiration and passion. My little something has been this blog and yet I continue to follow God’s heart as what He would have me do with this calling He has given me. I need to be more intentional and protective of my time so I can witness the callings of others and the songs. I appreciate you providing the blessings here of your playlist! Love the T shirt idea. I am wanting to do something to continue to spread this word God has given to me. I too want to live the Good News all the time! Yeah, this revival starts with me, right here on my knees. Love the song, the video and the revival started in me. Thanks Cindy for bringing musical accompaniment and confirmation of what God spoke to me in Daniel this morning…I had not yet listened to these songs. I will begin a playlist (if I can figure out how to do it:) Sad I don’t have a playlist but know of no better beginning than the songs and artist you have shared. I had never heard of any of these artists before! I think I will be listening to Kimberly Walker-Smith throughout my work day today. How powerful a voice with a humble and worshipful spirit…yep watched a couple more of her videos on Youtube and feel God’s spirit. Thank you!
