Today’s Scripture: do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. Romans 11:18 ESV
The Spirit of God is in ALL of us and it is totally against our nature to not be arrogant about it. Paul is telling the gentiles here in Romans 11 that God himself put the spirit of stupor in the Israelites so the rest of this world would come to know the riches of God.
Paul warns against our arrogance and our understanding. He warned us because that is our nature that we immediately begin to think somehow we nourish God instead of accepting that our nourishment flows from God; to ALL branches.
Will we trust God with His Spirit or arrogantly think we know what the other branches need? Can we spend more time glorifying God and trusting Him?
I am thankful to be a branch of God and trust that you are too regardless of what is flowing through you now.
Do you trust that God’s spirit is flowing through those who have different beliefs than you?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for Your Spirit. I trust You and know I do not have the ability to understand Your majesty. Thank You for using Your spirit to show me Your riches. LORD, remove all arrogance from me. Flow outwardly from me the spirit You will to nourish others. Amen

I really appreciate this as a word of conviction for me today, Tom–I don’t mean to be arrogant or judgmental, but sometimes I’m so afraid of appearing to “compromise”, that it goes too far. Thanks, brother–God bless you and the fam BIG–love, sis Caddo
Thank you sis! I am with you that sometimes we feel pressure that some how to love all others is compromising. I am hoping to trust God more and less on my understanding…I have to trust that He shapes the hearts of others and I hope to share His love more than I do my opinion of the day:) Blessings:)
Thank you for leading us in prayer today, Tom. God bless you!
Thank you Deb, blessings and prayers!
