Today’s Scripture: Joshua 1:11 ESV- “Pass through the midst of the camp and command the people, ‘Prepare your provisions, for within three days you are to pass over this Jordan to go in to take possession of the land that the LORD your God is giving you to possess.'”
It is time to go. Prepare what you have to go and take possession of land the LORD has given you. Find your strength and courage in God’ plan and be careful to only do as God directs. He says not to look to the right or the left.
Did Joshua, respond with questions of the how to’s? Did he ask God why or if He was sure? Do you think he felt prepared as Moses had just died and now he was the leader? He had to trust in God just as you and I. My strength and my courage are in God and not in my understanding or my courage.
I am gathering up what I have been provided and I am trusting God as I go in to take possession of the land the Lord my God is giving me.
Do you know in your heart that God is calling you to a land to possess? Prepare yourself to go. Be strong and courageous. He is with you wherever you go.
Today’s Prayer: LORD, I am ready. Equipped with Your Word; filled with Your strength and courage I know it is time. I praise You and trust You to prepare the way. Keep Your Word in me and show me now thine way. I find strength and courage in Your Word and in Your promises. You are my God and I am going where You have commanded me to go. Amen
