Today’s Scripture: Psalm 25:1- A Psalm of David. To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul.
The simplicity of this first verse of Psalm 25 is enough for me. To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. At this moment, I am not concerned about the following verses or anything because my soul is lifted up to the LORD and I feel complete and at peace. However reading on I see I am only catching a glimpse of God’s majesty.
David continued with Oh my God, I trust in you; I can feel this trust can you? Lifting up my soul I find I am trusting in the Lord’s ways and paths as promised in verse four. In verse five I feel that I am offering up my soul to be led by the Lord’s truths and accepting His teaching. I am confessing that the Lord is the God of my salvation. I am lifting up my soul to wait on whatever the Lord wants to do with my soul and I will wait all day just as verse five suggests.
Reading further did lead to more so I am glad I kept reading God’s Word. I have positive expectations of what is coming next in the Word and today when I left my soul up to the LORD.
Will you lift up your soul to the Lord today?
Today’s Prayer: To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. In You I do trust. LORD I trust in your ways and your paths. Please lead me in your truths and teach me as You desire. You O LORD are the God of my salvation and I am lifting up my soul to You and waiting on You all day long. I praise Your name O Lord and thank you accepting my soul. Do with me today as You will. Amen
