Today’s Scripture: But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. 1 Corinthians 15:10 ESV
Why are you unworthy? Paul stated in the preceding verse “For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.”
What is your “because”? Do you have a GRACE story?
It is all about the GRACE. I have spent the better part of the past eight years thinking my “calling” in life was to encourage others to be who they are: to live their “story”. To not be ashamed and to share how God has used their darkness to be a light unto the world.
This one particular morning, God reminded me it is all about grace. Our “I AM” can still be a story but it will never be God’s story until we live in grace. Paul knew he had worked hard …. but we cannot outwork grace.
We must give whatever our unworthiness to God right now. WE ALL have unworthiness for we are all sinners yet it is grace that brings us home. This is not our story it is His. May we live it, tell it, and share it. By the grace of God I am what I am today.
Have you accepted God’s grace for how you think you have wronged Him?
Today’s prayer: Almighty God, LORD of grace thank You for Your Son and thank You for Your grace. All I am is Yours. Please take my life story and turn it into Your grace story that will welcome others into Your love. Take my unlovable flesh and turn it into Your love and Your story of grace. I am giving You my unworthiness and welcoming Your grace. Please use who I am. Amen
