Today’s Scripture: Psalm 130:5 ESV- I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His Word I hope;
I can feel David’s soul in this short chapter in Psalms. My soul waits on the LORD and in His Word I do find hope. From the depths of my soul I cry out and wait.
Can you feel your heart, your soul crying out to God? Out of the deepest parts of me I cry out to the LORD. As David promised here in Psalm 130, in His Word I do find hope.
My soul is on high alert for the LORD. Like the watchmen, David references in verse six, my soul is waiting and looking for the LORD. Keeping watch to the point of exhaustion, I wait and look for the light of God on the horizon.
I do find hope and energy in the Word of God as I wait. David, I am feeling your heart today and I know the LORD is feeling mine.
Can you feel your heart yearning and reaching for God? Find hope in His Word and know He will redeem us and answer our cries.
Today’s prayer: LORD of Heaven I am waiting for You. I do find hope in Your Word. In Your Word I know You hear me and I hear You. LORD I am waiting expectantly for Your light and for Your direction. Thank you for filling me with hope and for hearing my cries. I am crying out to know and do Your will and to share Your hope with all others. Amen
