Today’s Affirmation: God strengthens my weak hands and steadies my shaking knees. 

There are times for most of us where our confidence is shaken or where worry overwhelms us. Isaiah 35:3 reminds us with this affirmation by assuring us that God will “Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm the feeble knees.” (NKJV) 

Do you ever fear? In 35:4 Isaiah says: “⁴Say to those with anxious heart,
         “Take courage, fear not
         Behold, your God will come with vengeance;(NASV)

Why do we fear and entertain anxiety? When does it occur to me that I do not have to rely on my strength but I can trust in the strength of a mighty and excellent God. A God who has promised to come and save me. 

In 35:5 it is stated that God will open the blind eyes and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Open my eyes and ears mighty God. Help me to see and hear you clearly and to trust in your ultimate power. May I see that my strength is in you and I can lose all my anxiety in you. 

As you steady my knees Father please lead me down the highway of holiness you promise in 35:8. You promise that even a fool like me can walk this road and not be led astray. This I hang on to today. Strengthen me and steady me and lead me down the highway of holiness. 

1. Do you ever worry or deal with anxiety?
2. Do you trust that God can and will strengthen your hands and stabilize your shaking knees?
3. Can you pause in the midst of worry, anxiety and fear and ask God to strengthen and steady you?
4. Can you ask God to lead you down the highway of holiness?
