Today’s Scripture: He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Psalm 23:3 ESV
The LORD ALWAYS restores my soul; no coincidence, no doubt. The LORD of Heaven and His Spirit are perfect in their timing and their restoration.
As I knelt before the LORD’s light this morning I felt His restoration, His comfort and His Spirit. Why O why do we ever turn away from His light? Many things pull us away yet He is unchangeable and faithful to welcome us and to grant us overflowing goodness and mercy.
Do you feel David’s heart in the 23rd Psalm? In only six verses David reveals His experience with God. I too know that wherever I travel God is with me. I KNOW His comfort and His leading.
He leads us and He follows us no matter where we go. Yes, I will dwell in the house of the LORD, forever no matter where I go.
Have you experienced God’s restoration?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, LORD of lords, King of kings thank You for leading me back to Your still waters. Thank You for restoring my soul. Wherever You lead me I will go and know Your rod and Your staff will lead me to comfort and restoration. LORD, thank You for welcoming me into Your house. I am restored. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life
the 23rd Psalm… when I’m overwhelmed, sad, worried or joyful those verses are the ones that I most often whisper. I hold the promises as such treasures. And your affirmation today is one of my favorites. I can’t count how many times He’s restored my soul and I’m humbled when I think of all the creative ways He’s done that. In this busy time of year, thank you for bringing my focus back to the still waters…to restoration of my soul.
Merry Christmas my friend.
Thank you Robin and yes I too am thankful for His still waters. I know He has led us here and I know He is the source of my restoration. Such comfort and thanksgiving is found in His house, forever! Blessings as you celebrate this Christmas season with your blessed family!
So good to hear from you Tom. i am glad for His restoration.
Thank you Bill! Merry Christmas!
Restoration is such a beautiful thing. So thankful for it! Just when I think I’m too messed up, too far gone, there’s Jesus, at work in me. God bless you and thank you , Tom! Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year too!
Thanks Deb! I hope you had a Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year as well….Sorry I missed this earlier but got away to sit in the woods for a few days without access:) Blessings to you for 2013 and I look forward to witnessing what God places on your heart:)
Amen Tom! I have known God’s restoration again and again. This passage of Scripture is one I meditate on often. He is in the process with all of us of restoring our souls: our minds our wills and our emotions! That restoration is a process and it is not always linear. Sometimes it is a back and forth that reminds me of the undulation of the ocean currents but always by the power of His Spirit my forward advance outstrips my back sliding! I am thankful for His persistent grace and ruthless perfection!
Amen Jelillie and happy New Year. Interesting that today in 2 Corinthians I saw where He is transforming us by degrees…just as you say here His restoration is full and He is transforming us each by degrees:) Blessings to you and yours!
Amen Tom! So glad we serve a God who never gives up but keeps plugging away!
