Today’s Scripture: To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory. Isaiah 61:3 NLT
In Isaiah 61:1, Isaiah KNOWS that “The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.” I challenge myself and you today for you to fill in the blank.
The LORD has anointed me to preach the good news to________________.
Can you pray and meditate on this today? I am; which brings me to 61:3 and God’s confirmation to me. I think my recovery path and this Affirmations of God blog has been God’s way of me encouraging others to know that the LORD has planted us where we are. No matter where we are, He planted us here and we can grow into great oaks as we preach the good news of what the LORD has done for us, right where we are.
We each have a ministry and opportunity to tell what the LORD has done for us where we are. Others need encouragement. Can you give it?
Today’s Prayer: LORD Almighty, thank You for Your Word and Your Spirit. I thank You for drawing my heart and my mind to You. You make yourself clear and I pray that You will use me to preach the good news to those who need the message You have given me. I know You have planted me here and I will give You glory by sharing Your good news. Use me LORD. Amen
