Today’s Scripture: Out of my distress I called on the LORD; the LORD answered me and set me free. Psalm 118:5 ESV
Psalm 118 gives the prescription for freedom and if we live here we know the freedom of God. All of these freedoms are in Psalm 118; maybe you can find more.
I AM FREE TO:
- Know the LORD is good
- Know the LORD’S love endures forever
- Call upon the LORD
- Know the LORD is on my side
- Know the LORD is my helper
- Know I can take refuge in the LORD
- Know I can trust the LORD
- Know the LORD is my strength
- Know the LORD is my song
- Know the LORD is my salvation
- Know the LORD gives me victory
- Enter into the presence of the LORD
- Rejoice and be glad in this day the LORD has made
- Believe the LORD gives me success
- Go in the name of the LORD
- Live in God’s light
- Praise and exalt the LORD
I am free, are you?
Today’s Prayer: LORD, I thank You for answering my call and I thank You for setting me free. I praise You and thank You for Your goodness and your love. I continue to call on You to be my helper. LORD, I take refuge in You and trust You. You LORD are my strength, my song, my salvation and my victory. I am thankful that I can enter into Your presence. I rejoice and am glad in this day you have made and will live this day in Your light. I praise You. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life
what a powerful post, Tom … It’s amazing to see how God’s Word communicates such deep truths in a single Psalm 🙂 Thanks for helping us dig deeper into the Word.
Oh Yes Yes Yes!! How wonderful to live in HIS freedom of salvation, love and grace. Thank you, Tom, for bringing us Psalm 118 and the great list–I hope you won’t mind if I print it out for quick and easy reminders throughout my day. God bless you BIG, have a super weekend–love, sis Cj
Yes, yes, yes my sis:)
Hi Tom,
I am trying to catch up with your affirmations and have only about a half dozen or so from July and I will be right on track. I am aware that you may never see this comment, but needed to let you know that this is one that I needed today… maybe more than I needed in July. Isn’t God wonderful how He works?!
He certainly is my strength – who I call on so often, especially now that I feel like my call is forever on hold and I’m stuck on a phone call listening to that “on hold” music. I know that anything He has planned for me is so much better than I can think up… but I am impatient. Today He reminded me through you, that I AM FREE!
Blessings to you, Tom – even if you never see this!
Thanks Katy! So thankful you are catching up! I noticed there was a spike in views the past few days…it must be you:) You have more patience than you think to read back that far:) I am blessed by your comment. It warms my heart when I see comments from past affirmations and to know that we only have to plant the seeds of God’s Kingdom and He knows when these seeds will be harvested. I am so thankful that this affirmation was there for you for the perfect time. Yes the LORD has set us free. While it seems we are on hold, God is at work and we are being perfected in the perseverance and character that He is developing in us. The Holy Spirit will guide us and I am thankful He guided you to the knowledge you needed this day. Blessings and it was great hearing from you!!
