Today’s Scripture: Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. John 14:23 ESV
I love Jesus, I know that and I also know I need the LORD and His Helper to help me keep His Word. Just this morning in my time alone with God, like so many mornings, I wonder why Jesus made it a practice to be alone with God.
Following my alone time the LORD has brought me here to John 14. I am reminded that I need to go to Him to be able to keep His Word. Yes, I know I love Jesus and I also know I can not keep His Word without help.
I rejoice that Jesus promised us in this same chapter that God would send us THE HELPER. I am thankful for the Holy Spirit who helps me and I know going to the Father to seek His Help is my only hope.
Why do you meet with God?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for Jesus and for living in me. LORD, help me to keep Your Word. I love you and want to live my life for and through You. I trust Your Spirit of Truth and go forth today knowing You are helping me. Amen

I wondered that myself and I see why because this world and all it’s foolishness can rub on you and you need to be in the Lord presence to get release a safe haven to rest and not be concerned about what is happening in the world..yeah I love those days and times when it’s just Him and I and I locked the world completely out.

Tom, isn’t it amazing that we can truly do nothing without Him? Thank you for pointing to The Helper…sometimes I forget, God gave us the Holy Spirit for counsel – for comfort – He will give me all I need to keep God’s word. Praying that He helps us today to live in His will-His word.
