Affirmation of God: I study what Jesus said.

Today’s Scripture: I have said all these things to you to keep you from falling away. John 16:1 ESV

I have been stuck for  days on John 15. I have purposefully come to John 16  to revisit a scripture that speaks to me. However I CAN NOT get past verse ONE!

When I see that Jesus Himself said “I have said all these things” I can’t help but to be drawn back to see what all these things were. If Jesus gave the answers to keep me from falling away I want to read and re-read those, don’t you?

I have also read John 16:2 where Jesus said that the hour was coming when there will be people who think they are offering service to God by killing those who believe in Him. We seem to be living in that hour; shouldn’t we study what Jesus said?

Today’s Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are the WORD. You were there in the beginning and You will be at the end. LORD, grant me the wisdom and diligence to study Your word and to live by Your commands. I want to live as You directed us and to be who You told me to be. Amen
