“Where do I start?” Can you picture some of the places you have been when you have asked yourself that question? What were you facing or where did you want to go?
Whatever we are beginning, wherever we are going we must start with God. Not a “must” as a directive but a “must” as our core need. This is our commandment, this is our desire our beacon. He is our beginning, our end and our place of refuge.
After more than thirty days of a work project that has prevented me from this Affirmation of God journey I found myself asking myself that question. Each time I awoke this morning and as I pressed the snooze button, I praised God. As I began the coffee maker I praised God for the glow of the promising sunrise.
Praise for God is my first thought and my first heartbeat of today. What are you starting? Your day, your season, your project, your search, your new relationship, your trip, your…? Praise Him and trust Him to guide you.
I still have two more days of this project and a holiday season approaching yet I am excited to see where God guides us next. For now I praise Him and feel joy and confidence knowing I am starting everything with Him. I have missed you and your comments and I look forward to starting with God, with you.
I pray many blessings and beginnings to you this Christmas celebration.
Today’s Prayer: Father God, I love You and praise You. I start everything with You. I begin by praising who You are. I praise You. All blessings, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power and strength belong to You. Please take me where You want me to go and use me to guide others to You. Amen

First, I start with saying it is good to hear from you again Tom. Second, I agree. It all starts with Him. To not start with Him has us starting at the 1/2 way point of a marathon. It won’t work. We won’t win either.
Thank you Bill, I really have missed our little family here! Great analogy. Merry Christmas!
Tom,
I am so happy to start my day with God, and open my email to start again seeing you there again!
Welcome back and thanks for the nudge for me to remind myself that when I start my day with God, it is always a better day.
Blessing on finishing this project and for Christmas, also.
Katy, you are too kind! I really have missed conversing with you all. God has cemented the importance of us encouraging each other. Thank you for sharing your journey with me. We can all begin our day with God together!! God bless you!
You’re back!!!! YAY! I smiled as I read this because I was thinking that I started the morning with my screaming to-do list! But … I quickly shifted my focus. Some days I have to intentionally look to Jesus, and I love you’re reminder today that simple gratitude is a great way to start my day with my focus in the right place.
prayers for a peaceful next couple of days as you finish your project and for a completely blessed Christmas for you and yours my friend~
Thank you Robin! I really thought I would do better this year! The hours are just too demanding and the internet at my hotel was down for the first eight days! I hope to catch up on your life and others over the break! Merry Christmas! Cherish the moments and the hearts of those you hold dear. Love and peace to you!
Merry Christmas Tom…good to “hear” from you again…Kevin
Thanks Kevin and Merry Christmas to you! I am thankful you, as one of the first ” listeners” is still out there. I appreciate your presence!
