Today’s Scripture: The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. Isaiah 40:8 ESV
The winds of change are always blowing. Most people are counting on things getting better “when things change.”
Thousands of years have proven standing on the one thing that does not change is where the better life is found. The winds of the breath of the LORD that blow on us mentioned in Isaiah 40:7 are the winds we may welcome.
The breath of God brings the strength and promises of His word. We witness and learn every day the results of the ways of man. The new mouse trap, although popular for a season, proves to be just another trap.
On God’s word we stand secure, forever. Hundreds of years after Isaiah, Paul was still instructing Timothy in 2 Timothy 3 to stand on God’s word. Thousands of years and thousands of changes later we stand here today where God’s word is the only thing worthy of standing on.
On what will you make a stand?
Today’s Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word. Forgive me for when I stand on and for anything else. In You LORD I stand secure. In Your word I feel the strength of Your embrace and the closeness of being held in Your bosom. On Your word I stand Father God to fulfill the ministry You have given me. Help me to fight the good fight, to finish the race and to keep the faith. Amen

“Just another trap” is so true. And yes, how I love the breath of God blowing over me–being a poet, I see/hear/feel it as a lovely swirl, magical in a holy way. Oh He is GOOD. May He bless you BIG today, dear brother–love, sis Caddo
Yes Sis it is a lovely swirl and magical in a holy way. When I feel the winds of life I may know He and His Spirit are in them and we can breath in the very breath of God. BIG blessings as you stand on His promises.
“In You LORD I stand secure.” I love this line!
Thank you Debby, blessings as you stand securely on the word of our God.
