Today’s Scripture: Like livestock that go down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD gave them rest. So you led your people, to make for yourself a glorious name. Isaiah 63:14 ESV
The Spirit of the LORD always gives us rest when we return to Him. Like Isaiah in 63:17 I wonder why God made us to wander away from Him and fear other things over Him. Yet, ALWAYS when we exhaust all other searches for hope and rest He is faithful to save us and give us rest.
Exhausted and bloodied we often return to Him like His people here in Isaiah 63 and recognize His peace and His steadfast love. He never left us, we just wandered away.
I praise You LORD and recount Your steadfast love. I am reminded that You continue to lead me even in the depths of my wanderings. Lead me in Your Spirit to stay in Your love and rest. You, O LORD are my Father and my strength.
Has something caused you to wander? His Spirit awaits to give you rest.
Today’s Prayer: You, O LORD are my Father and I praise Your glorious name. Your Spirit of love and rest always welcomes me. Although I do not understand my tendencies to wander, I do know Your Spirit of love, rest and peace. Thank You LORD for You love and for giving me rest in You. Lead me in all of Your ways. Amen.

Thank you, Tom. I needed this today. Had to confess how I’d been wandering from Him over the past few days–ignoring His instructions–going my own way about a situation. So good to know He’s here waiting on me.
Thankful Julie that we find Him when we return. In the madness of life it is easy to be drawn away yet when we return He is there waiting (and was with us in the madness). LORD, help us to return sooner and sooner:) Blessings and rest.
I love that his Spirit of love and rest always welcomes us! Thank you, Tom, and God bless!
Thanks Deb, I too am extremely thankful for His rest. Above all things and in all things as we return to Him we find His rest that is so comforting and empowering. Blessings and rest.
