Today’s Scripture: Our fathers, when they were in Egypt, did not consider your wondrous works; they did not remember the abundance of your steadfast love, but rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea. Psalm 106:7 ESV
Psalm 106 is full of abundance. It begins with Praise the LORD! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good. In this affirmation journey I wondered how many times I must have captured “I give thanks to the LORD.”
Should I capture it again? Really, can you give thanks to the LORD too much or too often? This Psalm shows the results of what happens to God’s peoples when we fail to praise the LORD and to give Him thanks; when we forget His abundance and to give Him our praise we witness the evil that is in the world. We should all read Psalm 106 to remember the history of God’s people.
The people of Israel lived it and we are certainly seeing evidence today of what happens when we forget. LORD, help us to remember Your abundance and to give You all of our thanksgiving and praise!
Will you join me in praising God for His abundant love today?
Today’s Prayer: LORD, I praise Your name and give all of my thanks to You. Thank You for Your abundant love and mercies towards us. Forgive us LORD for forgetting and taking on the acts of those who do not love You. Help me LORD to ask for what You desire. Let all the people say Amen! Praise the LORD!

This is a really good reminder Tom. When I stop praising I tend to start complaining.

Amen Joseph, isn’t that the truth! I thank you for commenting and confirming. As we remember His abundance and His promises we look away from our fleshly perspectives. Blessings and abundance!
