Today’s Scripture: Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God. Psalm 43:5 ESV
Sometimes we need reminders of where our hope lies. This was a rough stretch for David. Reading several Psalms of David this morning I have captured this affirmation “I hope in God” at least five times.
Here in 43:5 David shows his fleshly confusion and lack of understanding of why he feels so down. He has to remind himself and us that there are times in our lives where all we have is hope in God.
O God, my God You are all I have and when I am bewildered by life I will cling to hope in You. I will praise You for who You are and what You have done. I remind myself that You are my salvation and my God.
Is your hope in God?
Today’s Prayer: O God, You are my God. You are the Creator God, The God of Israel and in You I hope. When evil surrounds me and my flesh fails I still have hope. Hope in You overcomes all I face. Thank You for being my salvation and my God. Amen

Thank you Sheryl! I appreciate your words too. I join you in this hope! Love you!
“Hope in You overcomes all I face.” — exactly what He wants me to remind over and over and over again, when tough situation comes in, my mind and heart begin to worry, yet the Holy Spirit is always, i mean ALWAYS been there to remind me to hope in Christ no matter what!♡ Thanks Sir Tom, God bless you always. 🙂
Thank you Mae and God bless you in your hope. We certainly do need to be reminded over and over as our flesh is weak but HE is strong! Blessings and hope to you my friend, always!
Tom: I am a firm believe that if you take away hope, you take away everything worth living for. You take away my hope in Christ I am of all people most to be pitied.
Amen, I am with you brother Bill. What a pitiful sight to be without hope in Christ! Crazy how I can put hope in anything else. Blessings and fulfilled hope to you as your bring His hope to others.
Thank you, Tom, for so often giving the affirmations that I (and I am sure so many others) are needing! Your timing is impeccable… or rather the Lord uses you to spread the word and HIS timing is impeccable!
Today and all days I will continue to hope in God, clinging for dear life! Thanks for the reminder.
God is so great and so good to us Katy. His Word truly is living and His timing is amazing. I am thankful He blesses us with His glory as we travel this road together and encourage and spur each other on. Many blessings and great hope to you!
A day late and a dollar short Tom, but I wanted to share that just the day before this affirmation from God, featuring Psalm 43 came into my inbox, I was watching this attached video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tU6q1r1Z9jg about Joni Eareckson-Tada, in which she quoted the Word…including Psalm 43 many times. She is being used MIGHTILY by the LORD in the midst of her trials and difficulties, and I thought if even just one person is encouraged, inspired, or uplifted by watching this, it would please the LORD. Thanks for letting me share it here. You and yours remain in my prayers. Cindy
Cindy, you are never late here!! God’s Word is so good!I enjoyed the video very much! Thanks for sharing. What a testimony of faith! So thankful for the example Joni gives to us that in the face of all things, God. May we trust Him in all things we do and do not understand. May He use us as He uses Joni to share His promises, His love and His goodness! Your sharing always blesses me and others here; keep it coming:) Blessings and hope!
