Today’s Scripture: and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the commander of all the rulers of the world. All praise to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us. Revelation 1:5 NLT Tyndale
Things are going to get tough. It seems John is preparing us to stand on what we know in the first two chapters of Revelation. We can be empowered to face anything if we hold onto the promises of God and what He has called us to do.
He is reminding me I will continue to praise Jesus. I am part of Jesus’ kingdom and I will do my part in it. I will continue to speak of Jesus and listen to the Holy Spirit. I will fall down at the feet of Jesus and I will write down what I see. I will have patient endurance and keep my focus on knowing I will one day eat fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God. Although I may suffer and be in poverty, I will be rich. I will remain loyal and refuse to deny Jesus. I will hold tightly to what I have and obey until the very end.
I have His love and His freedom, no Matter what. For that, I praise Him. Do you have specific feelings or opinions about the Book of Revelation?
Today’s Prayer: Mighty God, thank You for Your love and the freedom You gave me through the life and death of Jesus. Help me to remember Your promises as I enter battles and as I face evil. Help me to have patient endurance, help me to listen to Your Spirit and to understand. I will cling to You Father and thank You for preparing me to do my part. Amen
