Today’s Scripture: For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, Ephesians 3:14 ESV
No matter the reason, bowing our knees to the Father is the beginning. I am not speaking figuratively, hypothetically, rhetorically, or any otherally but am speaking of kneeling before the King of kings. I recall sharing the AMAZING difference that kneeling before God had made in my life to a person who asked. “do you think you really have to kneel?”
Is it too much to ask?? Now I understand some can not physically do this but we can bow our hearts and I have found that this is where God reveals Himself.
As we kneel we find the promises in Ephesians 3: the endless treasures of Jesus, the power and strength of the Spirit and come to know the love of God. As we kneel our roots go into God, Christ dwells in our hearts and we are filled with the fullness of God. Do you really have to? Nope.
Today’s Prayer: Mighty God, thank You for Jesus and Your Spirit which allows us to come boldly and confidently to You. As I kneel before You Father I praise You and glorify You. In You Father I place my trust. Your endless treasures amaze me and I come to know You and Your love. Nourish me Father God and fill me with Your love. Amen.

Oh this is a great word, Tom. (I’m one of the ones who can’t get up easily from a kneeling position, but that’s neither here nor there.) For decades, I just didn’t “get” the whole “bowing before God” thing. It seemed almost silly, and unnecessary, that God should need my adoration–I mean, He’s GOD, already! But like most things I’ve been learning in the past 2 1/2 years, it is not to benefit God, that we do anything (tithe, worship and praise, read His Word, reverence Him–kneeling on knees, or in our hearts, etc)–but God well knows how all of this benefits us (BIG). Not that we should do any worship with a selfish, manipulative agenda–God doesn’t honor that. He does honor our faith–has done that since Abraham. I’ve just noticed that the more I know Him, the more I love Him; and the more gratitude wells up in me, the more I worship Him–and as we discussed earlier, Tom, the more we praise Him, the more He “inhabits”. Worshiping Him–on our knees, or not, cultivates His Presence in every moment of our day. Who doesn’t want more of that?? His Name is Wonderful–I’m so thankful today. God bless you BIG, brother–love, sis Caddo
Amen Sis. My experience exactly. The more we bow our hearts in praise of who He is and believe in the promises He has given to us we come to know His love and faith. More and more we come to experience the fullness of our Almighty God. He is more than we can even dream to know or ask yet He is so wonderful to reveal Himself in our faithfulness. We seek to know Him and worship Him fully to honor who He is and the fruits are incredible!
More and more! BIG blessings!
