Today’s Scripture: Revelation 1:5 KJB: And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
The revelation of God is plain weird. Do you think John thought it weird how God revealed Revelations to him on the Island of Patmos? I do find it weird how God reveals Himself.
Just yesterday, a brother in Christ asked me if I had bathed a certain situation or person in the blood of Christ. Bathing in the blood of Christ sounds old school doesn’t it? I had done it once but I felt the need to ask day and night.
This morning as I knelt before the King, I prayed for the blood of Jesus to bathe over me and my various needs. I “felt” the blood of Jesus cascade across my back, seriously! Then in a TOTALLY, unrelated path I was brought to Revelation 1:5 this morning. By “accident” I read these words from John.
Will you ask Jesus to wash you and your pressing battles in his blood? He will.
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for the blood of Jesus Christ who washes us with His own blood. Thank You Jesus for bathing me and my temporary concerns of this world. I am thankful for brothers and sisters in Christ who encourage us to trust the blood of Jesus in all our earthly situations. LORD, I am sharing Your blood with others and I pray we both are cleansed. Amen

Affirmations of God

In ministering to others or covering their homes in prayer I ask the Lord to not just “wash” them in His blood but to “scrub” them with His blood. I see it like doing dishes. A pan might be lightly washed because the crud isn’t that bad. But if it’s really tough stuff to get off it takes a scrub brush. Sometimes the crud we are dealing with needs a scrub brush. Thanks for bringing this to mind through your post. Blessings my friend.
