Today’s Affirmation: My reverence of God is my confidence.
Although this affirmation is out of context and was in essence rejected from Job, the message still hits home with my spirit today. In Job 4:6 where this affirmation is derived, Job’s friend Eliphaz is basically trying to help with words and reminds Job…shouldn’t your reverence of God be your confidence? Well of course it should, but now’s a find time to ask me Lucille. The timing, love and compassion of “advice” is an entirely different topic for another day.
The Spirit made me think well yes, my reverence of God IS my confidence. In just about all things. Because I believe He is God I have confidence in His holy word. I am confident that since I have chosen only to praise Him for who He is that He has given me, well, confidence. That’s a mouthful but in a nutshell I can really say today that I am in awe of the God of my understanding today and as result He as given me confidence in:
- He is in control, I can RELAX and let him rule.
- His will will be done, I find PEACE in knowing “it’s all good”
- He loves me and cares for me, I can REST and know He will provide.
- He is the God of gods the Almighty, so who else shall I FEAR?
- He is my Abba/ Father, I have an abundant love from him that FILLS me.
- It is His kingdom and that is all I seek and I am confident He has given me SEEDS (PURPOSE) to sow.
- He is mighty and will do awesome things I can not understand and I let go and have FAITH that He will conquer all.
THIS day Lord, give me my daily bread. Please feed me with what You know I need today to build my reverence and my confidence in you.
- Do you find confidence in God?
- Do you believe God is in Control?
- Kneel and praise Him, revere Him, be in awe and see if your confidence grows. Do you feel any of the above fruits of this reverence?
Do you stand in awe of God today?

I think the key is when we kneel and pray fully surrendered on both knees. We often want all God has to offer but we hold back thus keeping him from producing in us all that he would.

Amen Patsy, so true. In the solitude of my prayer room it is easy to kneel and praise Him. When in putting some things into action I take my eyes solely off of the God on eye and begin looking through different eyes. May we continue to strive to stay in the zone and see all things through His eyes and produce what He wants us to!! Thanks for coming back!
