Today’s Affirmation: God is a fountain of life to me and in His light I see light.
In verse 1 of Psalm 36 David says there is an oracle in his heart. Do you have an oracle in your heart? A divine revelation? Do you have a message to deliver to the world? David was compelled to speak about the wicked hearts of evil men.
Even to these dark and evil hearts David says in 36: 5 that God’s faithfulness reaches to the clouds. How precious is your loving kindness. Oh God! David states in 36:7. So very precious. We put our trust under the shadow of your wings. I am ABUNDANTLY satisfied with the fullness of Your house Oh God and I will drink from the river of Your pleasures as stated in verse 8.
Today’s affirmation comes from 36:9. With God is the fountain of life: in Your light we see light.
So much more light than in my own darkness. When I turn to my heart I see evil that progressively gets darker. In His light I see light. In His light I see life. God shows me things I can not see. Impossible to see on my own. He sheds light and changes my perspective. I am thankful for His light that illuminates goodness and fullness.
God shine your light on my darkness and on my own pride. I bask in Your Light O Lord and pray to stay in your light. Here I find true living.
- Do you think God has given you an oracle, a devine revelation to deliver?
- Have you experienced the light of God? Have you experienced darkness without Him?
- Do you really believe that you will be more abundantly satisfied in the house of God over the promises of this world?
- Can you taste His pleasures?
Thank You God for life, please keep me in your light so I may drink of Your pleasures. You are the fountain of life for me today.

Good to have you back Tom! Missed reading your posts. So much good stuff here. I remember when the man from Chariots of Fire (can’t remember his name right now) said, “God made me to run fast and when I run I feel His pleasure.” I want to feel/sense God’s pleasure.
Thanks Bill for your encouragement. Just a lot of things going on and missed my mornings. I guess I really need to get up at 3:00 like you so I can stay on purpose!!
