Today’s Scripture: And they were amazed and astonished, saying, “Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? Acts 2:7 ESV
The Holy Spirit amazed those that witnessed it on the day of Pentecost and I am still amazed today.
In Acts 2:4 they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. The witnesses asked in Acts 2:8 how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language? They were amazed and perplexed. In their perplexity they asked what this meant.
Peter stood and reminded them that in God’s Word He had promised to pour out His Spirit on all flesh and that it would come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. This Word also promised our hearts would be glad, our tongues would rejoice and our flesh would live in hope. How amazing is that?
Will others be amazed and astonished in how the Holy Spirit utters Himself through us?
Today’s Prayer:LORD, my heart cries out to You. I love you and thank you for your Holy Spirit. Thank you for revealing the chasm between my mind and my soul. I am in awe of you Father God. Speak through your Spirit you poured upon my soul. My mind cannot comprehend and my words can not explain Your Spirit and I praise You in amazement as my heart speaks. Utter Your words though me Yeshua. Amen
